Microsoft Have Announced a Price Increase
To give us some early warning, Microsoft have announced that there will be a price increase, starting 1st January 2017. Although Microsoft pricing is generally very stable, they occasionally make adjustments based on currency fluctuations. Following the nose-dive in the value of the Pound, we have seen a lot of press regarding increasing price lists, such as the controversial argument between Unilever and Tesco. Now, in the name of continuity, we have been told that there will be a 13% increase for on-premise enterprise software, and a 22% increase on enterprise cloud prices. As a partner, we have been assured that all pricing will remain extremely competitive in the marketplace.

Those that will be affected
This update will not affect existing Microsoft product users with on premise perpetual licencing. However, it will generally effect two groups:
Subscription Licenses
Any cloud subscription model licence user will be effected by the price increase. For companies who are close to the border with subscription vs purchase in their calculations. It may be a good time to purchase your licence if you have products with an on premise option.
New Customers
If you are looking at purchasing an on premise licence, such as for Dynamics NAV 2016, even if it is for extra user licences, it is worth getting the order in now while the price is still low. Even if you are at the start of a project, there is time to work with us to get to a stage of buying your licences.
As is standard practice with working with Dynamics Consultants, we will work with you in an open manner to discuss the most financially beneficial way to purchase your licences.
Honest Expert Advice
We understand that licencing is complicated, we even have qualifications on Microsoft licencing! If you would like to discuss the best option for your business, please call us to discuss your situation further. We build our business on relationships, not selling as many licences as possible!
