Dynamics 365 for Financials on Public Preview
We are excited to announce that Dynamics 365 for Financials has now been released for Public Preview in the UK. Financials is the ERP module for Dynamics 365 for Business. Having been released in the US in October, the UK is the first European market to get a localised solution of Dynamics 365. This preview marks the build up to the release of the product later in the month.
Updated Features
With this announcement, Microsoft have also included a number of new features, based on feedback from the market.
Bill of Materials (BoM)
The new Bill of Materials functionality allows users to have structured items, including rolling up costs. There is also the flexibility to sell top level items as a kit of materials, allowing you to adjust individual component pricing on quotes.
Direct Posting
Sales and Purchase documents now allow you to post directly to general ledger accounts from document lines.
Task Management
Assign tasks to different employees in your campaigns.
Integration and Synchronisation
For those wanting to use Dynamics 365 Sales in the Enterprise edition, this is now possible with a simple integration of opportunities. For third party apps and extensions, the REST API allows simple synchronisation with a wide range of data, including company information, customer and vendor lists, sales orders and invoices, and account information.
VAT Registration Number Validation
Available for the UK only, this new feature allows you to validate company details, such as addresses, against their VAT registration number.
