With the new DC Enhanced - Quick Item Wizard you can improve the speed and accuracy of the creation of new Item records in Dynamics NAV.
Create new items on the fly from source documents, such as Purchase Orders!
The functionality consists of a new “Quick Item Wizard” button on the Item Card:

This opens a new page that can be configured to individual customer requirements:

The user selects an Item Master Template (which is standard functionality), enters or selects a number range and then populates the fields that are important to an individual business.
The “Create Item” button is only enabled if all of the mandatory fields (marked with a star) have been filled in.
The stem then uses the standard NAV Item Template data plus that entered by the user to create a new Item.
This function makes it possible to create new Items on-the-fly from source documents (such as Purchase Orders) quickly and consistently using the Role Tailored Client and the “New” option on the Item quick drill down.
This functionality could be extended to create Stock Keeping Unit data, if required.
