What’s New in Business Central 2025 Release Wave 2
The Autumn brings the second major release of the year for Business Central, as part of the 2 wave annual update cycle. Here we look at the highlight features.
We have developed a function which brings together all communication types to and from a customer in one repository accessible from the customer card, the Consolidated Customer History page.
By clicking on the Consolidated History button, it is possible to see all Document Sending and Document Receiving entries, all NAV interactions and all Comment Lines relating to that particular customer on one page, providing a wealth of information in one place.
DC Consolidated Customer History
By highlighting a Comment Line, all of the information it references is displayed on the right hand side of the screen.
Selecting an Interaction from the list and clicking on the View button, all NAV interactions are displayed and the appropriate record is highlighted. The user can then drill down to see associated documents and emails.
When the Document Sending Log entries are viewed both the original sending card and attachment preview are displayed. For Document Receiving, the item attached to the particular record viewed is shown.
The DC Enhanced - Consolidated Customer History can be filtered by Contact, Ship to, by Communication Type and Document Type and thus provides a full, detailed document trail.
