What’s New in Business Central 2025 Release Wave 2
The Autumn brings the second major release of the year for Business Central, as part of the 2 wave annual update cycle. Here we look at the highlight features.
Held at the Excel in London, Accountex is the UK’s largest exhibition dedicated to accountancy and finance professionals. With exhibitors ranging from large finance software companies to training specialists, this show attracts thousands of accountants from both accountancy practices and businesses eager to learn more about the financial landscape and how they can best optimise their practices. The reason the show is so popular is not just the wide variety of exhibition stands – Accountex is packed with seminars as part of their education program. These provide useful information on legislation, best practices, industry insights, etc.
As a knowledge hub, we love your questions and look to find the answers. In a variable business planning landscape, it's important to us to stay on top of what you need to and how we can best prepare you for changes and updates within the industry. That's why we're asking for your feedback on how accountancy software could step it up a gear? How can we best support the needs of your business?
Rather than trying to sell you software with a specification that we have written, we are opening up to accountants to see what issues you are facing and how we can help you to become better practices. If you are interested in getting involved, please take 5 minutes to fill in our questionnaire.
This year, Accountex have announced that the British Accounting Marketing Awards are being held at the show. This is a fantastic way for accountancy firms to showcase their efforts and get recognition for the work that they are doing in the industry.

Microsoft is one of the big players in business management software with their Dynamics ERP solutions, providing companies with tools that are flexible to business requirements. Unlike companies such as Sage and Xero, Microsoft are “Partner Led”, which means that their solutions are primarily marketed, deployed and supported by their partners. This means that it is important for proactive partners such as Dynamics Consultants to be the face of Microsoft.
In this contemporary and complex financial landscape, we understand how important the right digital solutions are to support business growth, of both you and your customers. We are developing the latest in accountancy software to help build these partnerships. We're looking forward to Accountex as it enables us to find out what you need and display the latest solutions set to shape the future of accountancy.
With a strong pedigree in working with business management software, helping owners to manage their companies better, our in-house accountants and software experts, gives us the technical edge that makes Dynamics Consultants as a solution provider a very attractive option to Financial Directors. With over 160 years of collective experience with Dynamics ERP, Dynamics Consultants act as a knowledge hub to businesses.
See us on Stand 156 on 23rd and 24th May, 2018.
As well as Dynamics NAV, which aims at the middle and higher end of the SMB market, Microsoft released Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations – Business Edition, in 2017. This product provides an easy to use and low cost version of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV product, aimed at smaller growing businesses. As well as the main software, which comes with a free accountant licence per customer, the Accountant Hub that is currently in pre-release provides a useful set of tools for someone managing the finances of many businesses.
With this attractive offering, we are looking to both educate accountants, as well as provide them with the tools that they need to help them service their customers. As a company focused on partnership, we will work with accountants to provide them the means to grow.
Registration to Accountex is free, so register now and see us at Stand 156 on 23rd and 24th May.

After a recent visit to the Digital Manufacturing 2day event in Coventry and an insightful presentation by Lord Chris Holmes, I thought I would delve a bit deeper into the current AI regulation facing UK industry.
Choosing the right ERP system when moving on from Sage 50 can shape how efficiently your business grows and adapts. If you want advanced features, greater flexibility and easier integration with familiar Microsoft tools, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is often the stronger option compared to Sage 200. As real-time data insight, automation and scalability are now necessities and not luxuries, your ERP upgrade decision is more important than ever.
