One of the benefits of Office 365 is the continual updates that they are providing in functionality, be it user experience or administration tools.

Skype for Business (SfB) Updates

  • New Mac Client
    • Allow meeting actions
    • Presence indicators
    • Full Screen, high definition video
    • Group video calling

PowerApps and Flow

  • General Availability
    • Joins PowerBI in the power trio
  • PowerApps allows building of business apps without the need for code
  • Flow automates business processes
  • PowerBI allows you to analyse and visualise data

New Usage Reports

  • Four new user reports in admin centre
    • Active users report shows which users are using the different services
    • Skype for Business clients used report shows which clients people are using to access SfB and what they are using it for
    • Email clients used report shows what clients are being used to connect to Exchange
    • Office 365 Groups activity report shows which groups are being active and how they are being used
  • Combine the intelligence of the usage reports with the interactive capability of PowerBI

eDiscovery Updates

  • eDiscovery allows you to find analyse and review relevant information related to investigations, legal matters and regulatory requests
  • Advanced eDiscovery on Office 365
    • Express Analysis
    • Export with Analytics
