What’s New in Business Central 2025 Release Wave 2
The Autumn brings the second major release of the year for Business Central, as part of the 2 wave annual update cycle. Here we look at the highlight features.
Last November we discussed the future of Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations – Business Edition. The blog described the evolution of D365 for F&O to gain the functionality of NAV and with a new name, which has now been released – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Microsoft’s messaging is that Business Central is a solution ideal for companies growing out of basic finance packages. The solution is also perfect for startups and entrepreneurs that want to invest in a solution that will grow with the business. The solution will be available for the following countries:

Dynamics 365 Business Central grows the functionality of Finance and Operations to the full capability of NAV. This is available at two price points, the features are summarised as follows:

Pricing has only been confirmed for the US market, at $70 per user/month for Essentials and $100 per user/month for Premium

We are still waiting for confirmation on the migration path from Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations to Dynamics 365 Business Central.
