Dynamics Consultants is looking for a motivated business admin apprentice for a 18 month apprenticeship to complement our experienced team.
It’s not just about providing great customer service and making cups of tea here at Dynamics Consultants — although we do have a contest to see how well we can remember each other’s sugar content and strength requirements!

As well as your Level 2/3 NVQ Business Admin Apprentice training, through our training and mentoring programme, we help grow your skills at a rate you can manage to help expand your knowledge and develop your future.

An understanding of our business and how we work as a company is important.Therefore, with assistance, the successful candidate will be required to:
- Provide general office administration
- Learn how Microsoft software works
- Support marketing activities
- Assist with event management tasks
You’ll be an integral part of Dynamics Consultants, working from our office in Locks Heath, Southampton, with the occasional trip to our customers’ sites when necessary. (Edible treats can be brought back to the team left in the office on these occasions. Although this is not mandatory, of course!)
Our ideal candidate
We’d love it if you have:
- Qualifications of 5 A*-C/4+ GCSEs in Maths, English
- Expected A levels or equivalent
- Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft applications, including Office and Excel
To us, however, attitude and aptitude are more important than knowledge, as we can help with the latter. Therefore, we’re looking for an apprentice who is:
- Reliable, conscientious and hardworking
- Has enthusiastic and motivation in abundance
- Has a positive can-do attitude
- Has good written and verbal communication skills
- With the ability to problem solve

We also appreciate the importance of a work/life balance and making friends, not just colleagues, so, in addition to flexible working, we’ll be extending invites to our many social gatherings. A recent trip to Monkey World and our upcoming Games Night are all part of life here at Dynamics Consultants.
We’ll even be asking you to help arrange a social of your choice at some point too!
Initially, this will be a junior position with a view to develop into a more senior role over time as the successful candidate learns more about our business.
We have a history of successful apprentices that include valuable members of our current workforce.
Grace started as an admin apprentice, learning the ropes in the worlds of business and software work. Having excelled in learning our business processes, and getting involved in a variety of exciting marketing activities, Grace is now a junior consultant, working directly with customers on projects.
Tommy joined us in a technical role focusing on developing business software solutions through designing, coding and testing. Following the completion of his apprenticeship, he is now a key member of the support team and heads up our testing department.
Minimum age: 18 years old
Salary: April 2018 - £4.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm (flexible) with a 30-minute lunch break.
Location: Locks Heath, Southampton, Hampshire
Our successful candidate will be required to attend Highbury College, Tudor Crescent, Portsmouth PO6 2SA for several days during the apprenticeship; the exact number to be agreed between yourself, Highbury College and Dynamics Consultants. In addition, college assessors will perform on the job observations.
